Mondrian Shoreditch

Mondrian Shoreditch

The façade of the Mondrian belongs in New York, but the skyline on one side is definitely London’s own and the edgy graffiti on the other, East End cool.

We just loved working on this one, although the backache from fixing the fabric banners on the Bibo roof beams wiped a few brave smiles away in the install process. With every loop of fabric perfectly symmetrical, in perfect alignment and exactly the same length, fixing was a labour of love…

The 120 rooms and 13 suites of the old Curtain Hotel, now owned by the Reuben Brothers, sits squarely in the beating heart of London’s cultural hub. It’s a little bit New York, a little bit Tulum and a big bit cool.

Robena bust a gut on this one, racing hard towards completion on a very tight deadline to open as soon as Covid-19 restrictions lifted. Robena made good friends at the Mondrian. They know that we are there for them. In a heartbeat.
